So I started a Substack

I’ve been over at Long Wharf for a while now, building out something I’ve wanted to do for years: a publication about San Francisco. The real one. Not the one in the press releases.

Fiction on Tuesdays. Historic nonfiction essays on Thursdays. Reprints of older work on weekends, when I remember.

The fiction is set here. The essays are about things that actually happened here, usually things that should be more widely known and aren’t. The reprints are whatever I feel like digging out of the archive.

If you’ve been following me here you know San Francisco is the subject I keep returning to. This is just the version where I return to it with more structure and fewer typos.
